A manufacturer of tennis b***s has a daily cost of c(x)=200-10x+0.01x^2 where c is the total cost in dollars and x is the number of tennis b***s produced. What number of tennis ball will produce the minimum?

c(x)=200-10x+0.01x^2

The minimum number will be given by    -b/2a    where b = -10  and a = 0.01.....so we have

min =  -(-10)  / (2* 0.01)   = 10 / 0.02   =  500  will minimize the cost

cool cool cool
