I am creating a artwork with small wooden cubes.

these cubes are arranged in a 10x10 grid.

Each cube has different images on each side.

So therefor each cube can display 6x4=24 different views from above.

If I take all of the cubes in my hands, shake, and then let them fall onto a table and then by random arrange them into the 10x10 shape.

What are the numbers of potential outcomes?

24 views on each cube.

100 cubes

100 positions for each cube to potentially be placed at.

what do you say?

There are 100 choices for the first cube and 24 choices for this cube:  (100 x 24).

There are 99 choices for the second cube and 24 choices for this cube:  (99 x 24).

There are 98 choices for the third cube and 24 choices for this cube:  (98 x 24).

...

For the last cube:  there is 1 choice for the one-hundredth  cube and 24 choices for this coube:  (1 x 24).

Putting these together:  (100 x 24) x (99 x 24) x (98 x 24) x ... x (2 x 24) x (1 x 24)

                               =     (100 x 99 x 98 x ... x 2 x 1) x (24 x 24 x 24 x ... x 24 x 24)

                               =      100! x 24100.
