Adam, Ben and Carlos shared some marbles.  Adam received 1/5 of the

marbles.  Ben received 18 more marbles than Adam.  Carlos received 54

marbles.  How many marbles did they have altogether?

Adam: $\frac{1}{5}x$

Ben: $\frac{1}{5}x + 18$

Carlos: 54

here's an equation to solve for the total amt of marbles:

$(\frac{1}{5}x) + (\frac{1}{5}x + 18) + (54) = x$

if you need the steps here is a link (just input the equation I gave you above):

https://www.symbolab.com/

here is the answer: $\boxed{x = 120}$

hope this helps a little bit :)

I think I'm too late tho haha
