7 + 3x =22

first of all you have to take all the variable containing terms on one side and all the constant terms on another side

7 is a constant ....3x is a variable....22 is a contant

so transfer 7 on right hand side

so....it will look like this 3x = 22 - 7

3 is multiplied to x on left hand side so if you tranfer ir to right hand side then you have to divide the right hand side with three...its called transposing

then it will look like this

x = 15/3

so x= 5

and you have to find 2x so multiply both sides by two hence it will look like

2x = 10

got that
