The height of an arrow shot on Neptune can be modelled by the quadratic function h(t) = 2.3 + 50t - 5.57t^2, where time, t is in seconds, and height, h(t) is in meters. When will the arrow will hit the surface?.

Just like our hometown, Earth, when the arrow hits the ground, h = 0

so solve   0 = - 5.57t^2 + 50t + 2.3     for 't' using the Quadratic Formula

throw out the negative 't' value (- .04577)   ....the answer is the + t value
