You can write your first equation like this: 3log(x)/log(y) + 3log(y)/log(x) =10............(1) From the 2nd equation you can get: x = 144/y Sub this for y in (1) above and should get: x =2sqrt(3) and y =24sqrt(3), or the reverse.
