w^2 = k / z^3       where k is the proprtionality constant

3^2 = k / 12^3     shows k = 15552

w^2 = 15552/z^3      when w = 6       z = 7.5595

w^3*z^3 = x

3^3 * 12^3 = 46656

x = 46656

w^3 * 6^3 = 46656

w^3 = 216

w = 6

I think you are supposed to find z not w...

Oops, replaced the wrong variable and read the question wrong.

3^2 * 12^3 = k

6^2 * z^3 = k

3^2 * 12^3 = 6^2 * z^3

z = 7.5595

Nice job EP. :)))
