i need help trying to get a factor that equals to a postitive 11 and a postitive 30

 

Lets think about how YOU could work this out.

THink about the multiply first.

They multiply to a positive number so that means that they must both be positive OR both be negative.

They ADD to a positive number too so they both must be positive.

 

Back to multiply

so we have

1 and 30

2 and 15

3 and 10

5 and 6

and they are the only factors of 30.   Which of these adds to 11?

5 + 6 = 11

5 x 6 = 30
