The largest fashion catalogue in the world was published in Hamburg, Germany. each of the 212 pages in the catalogue measured 1.2m by 1.5m. What was the perimeter of a page?

Perimeter is the length of all the sides added up.

Since each page is a rectangle, the side directly across from it is the same length as it. Here's a picture:

1.5 + 1.5 + 1.2 + 1.2 =

3 + 2.4 =

5.4

 

The perimeter is 5.4 meters!

As perimeter means 2 (lxb) so we'll solve this like this:

P=2(1.2 + 1.5)

P=2 x 2.7

P=5.4  ANSWER

All you need to do is add 1.2+1.2+1.5+1.5 and you get 5.4
