Jack made cookies for Remembrance Day. He made 2 1/3 dozen chocolate cookies, 1 dozen peanut cookies, and 1 1/2 dozen oatmeal cookies. If he puts the same number of each cookie in each bag and has no cookies left over, what is the largest number of bags he can fill?

Jack made 2 1/3 dozen chocolate cookies,

1 dozen peanut cookies

1 1/2 dozen oatmeal cookies.

1 dozen = 12 cookies

Therfore, 2 1/3 * 12 = 7/3 * 12

                                = 84/3

                                = 28 chocolate cookies

                      1 * 12 = 12 peanut cookies

                1 1/2 * 12 = 3/2 * 12

                                = 36/2

                                = 18 oatmeal cookies

Find the greatest common denominator;

2 | 28  12  18

   |-----------------

     14   6   9

He could fill 2 bags with the same

number of each cookies in each bag.
