if two negaties numbers are added will the results be positive or negative?

-9 + (-8) = -9 -8 = -17

Two minuses make a plus, but a plus and minus makes a minus!

So lets try this

suppose -9 and -8 are two negative numbers and we are adding them

(-9)+(-8)        (now we would change the minus sign of 8 and that addition sign to addition sign becoz a negative and a positive means a positive sign)

= -9 + 8    (and now simply subtract them)

= -1 ANSWER

so yeah as ReptyGT said it depends on what your adding!what are the numbers!
