In the following figure, AF is the perpendicular bisector of BD, AD = 20, and DF = 16.  Find AB + BF.

can't be that easy right?

This is how I did it:

A perpendicular bisector is the mid-line that cuts through a triangle.

If AD=20 then AB should also be 20 since they are identical.

DF=16 then BF should also equal to 16.

20+16=36
