Is there a way to graph an inequality?
1) Assume that the inequality is: y > 3x - 7
Graph the equality: y = 3x - 7 only use a dashed line instead of a solid line and then shade the area above the dashed line.
2) Assume that the inequality is: y < 3x - 7
Graph the equality: y = 3x - 7 only use a dashed line instead of a solid line and then shade the area below the dashed line.
3) Assume that the inequality is: y <= 3x - 7
Graph the equality: y = 3x - 7 using a solid line and then shade the area below the solid line.
4) Assume that the inequality is: y >= 3x - 7
Graph the equality: y = 3x - 7 using a solid line and then shade the area above the solid line.
This procedure also works if the inequality is a quadratic, cubic, ..., trig, ...
