Six more than 4 times a whole number is less than 60. Find the maximum value of the number.

So first, write out the equation with x as the whole number.
That would be:
6+4x<60

then, subtract 6 from both sides.
4x<54
Now divide by 4; since it is a positive number, no need to flip the inequality symbol.
x<13.5

But since the problem states that x is a whole number, try figuring out the maximum: the greatest whole number that is still under 13.5

So would the answer be 13? (Gosh, I strongly dislike math sometimes.)
