it is estimated that it takes light 100,000 to travel the full distance of the milky way.if light travels 300 million metres in one second how long is the milky way in metres.please show working out

I assume that the 100,000 means seconds...

So, to find the length of the Milky Way, multiply 300,000,000 meters by 100,000.

Yes DB, our Milkyway galaxy is 27.7 lighthours long.  Our galactic neighbors call us the lilliputian galaxy.
