Jill spent 30% of her money at a fair and 50% in McDonald. If she had £2 left, how much money did she have to begin with?

Well...she spent 30% + 50% = 80% of her money.....so 2 pounds must represent 20% of the money she started with.....and 20% = 1/5 in fractional form....so if 2 pounds is 1/5 of something ......then 5 times that must be the "whole" something. And 2 * 5 = 10 pounds......and that's what she started with.....

Hey reinout-g, how many times qre you going to curse CPhill.

If you curse him n times does that make the curse n times as bad or does it mean he is cursed for n times longer?

It's a recursive curse

$$D(n):\mbox{H**l} \to \mbox{H**l}\\
D(n) = P_1(n)^2+P_2(n)^2\\
lim_{n \to \infty} D(n) = 666$$

Where P1 and P2 are the pain curves.
