1.Solve the inequality $2x - 5 \le -x +12$. Give your answer as an interval.
2.Solve the inequality $-4(x + 4) > x + 7.$ Give your answer as an interval.
i'm assuming you already know how to do this and this was just to do for fun, so I'll do them! :)
for number 1, i got
\(2x - 5 \le -x +12\)
\(3x-5\le12\)
\(3x\le17 \)
\(x\le\frac{17}{3}\)
\(\boxed{(-\infty, \dfrac{17}{3}]}\)
for number 2, i got
\(-4(x+4)>x+7\)
\(-4x-16>x+7\)
\(-4x>x+23\)
\(-5x>23\)
\(x<-\frac{23}{5}\)
\(\boxed{(-\infty,-\dfrac{23}{5})}\)
let me know if i got these right! :D
