Hello everyone, I hope someone could help me since I ma struggling with that since almost 2 days

An approximate linear model that gives the remaining distance, in miles, a plane must travel from Los Angeles to Boston is given by s(t) = 9000 - 600t where s(t) is the remaining distance t hours after the flight begins.

Find the veritcal and horizontal intercepts of s(t)

So I am lost !! Please corrrect me :/ I tried it at least

9000 are the miles

600 are the hours

Should I do a table  like,

t = 0 and 10

and s(t) = 9000 and 12000 ( double of 600)

Then Should i do  Y2 - Y1 / X2 - X1 so 12000 - 9000 / 10 - 0 ?

I feel like everything's wrong !

You don't have to do any of that.  They've given you the equation

s(t) = 9000 - 600t

So as in the other problem we have t as the horizontal axis, and in this case s(t) is the vertical axis.

For the vertical intercept set t=0, and evaluate s(0)

For the horizontal intercept set s(t)=0 and solve for t.
