Quote: How to find the perimeter of a sector of a circle by only knowing the area of the sector?
I assume you're given an area and an angle of how big the sector is.
Let that area = A
sector, and the angle = x degrees
You know that the sector area is going to be A
sector = x/360 * A
circle since there are 360 degrees in the whole circle.
so A
circle = 360/x A
sector A full circle of radius r has area A
circle pi r
2 r = sqrt(A
circle/pi) = sqrt(360/x A
sector)
now the perimeter of the circle is
P = 2 pi r
P = 2 pi sqrt(360/x A
sector)
