In a bag are three black marbles and three blue marbles. If two marbles are drawn from the bag at the same time, what is the probability that both marbles will be blue?

Total  possibilities from choosing 2 marbles from 6  =  C(6,2)  =  15    (1)

 

Total possibilities  of choosing 2 blue marbles  from 3   =  C(3,2)   =  3      (2)

 

So.....probability =    (2) / (1)   =   3 / 15  =   1/ 5   =   .2   =  20%
