What if a numerstor is bigger than the donominator and you have to multiply it by 5? what would you do?

You would pretend the 5 is a 5 over 1 (5/1) because the number 5 is the exact same as 5 divided by 1=5. When the numerator is of a bigger quantity than the denominator, this is called an improper or top-heavy fraction. The same rules apply. The numerators of each fractions times together and the denominators times by one another to give you your answer.
