A tabletop in the shape of a trapezoid has an area of 4,944 square centimeters. Its longer base measures 127 centimeters, and the shorter base is 65 centimeters. What is the height?

First.....the area of a trapezoid is   (B1 +B2)/2  * HEIGHT     B1= 127 CM    B2 = 65 CM

Soooo....substitute into the equation:

4944 cm^2  =  (127+65)/2    *  HEIGHT

Now....just solve for Height.....can you do that?  If not, you are in a class that is too advanced for you.cheeky
