In an isosceles triangle, the length of one of the two equal sides is 3 less than 4 times the third side. If the perimeter of the triangle is the same as the perimeter of a 144 sq. cms. square, what are the lengths of the sides of the triangle?
Thanks.

This is very similar to the one i just did:/
Th only real difference is that you need to also find the perimeter of a sqare of area 144 cm^2
How would you do that?
What is the formula for the area of a square?
When you do the triangle, draw a little pic, it will help you think more clearly.
Let me know how you get on :)
