Some sliver and bronze coins are put into 2 money boxes. 1/5 of the coins are put into box A. 3/8 of the coins in Box B are silver. There are 85 bronze coins in box B. How many coins were put into box A?

In box B, 3/8 is silver

      so, 1 - 3/8 = 5/8 is bronze

the total coins in box B is

     85 / 5/8 = 136

1/5 of the coins are in box A

so, the 136 coins in box B one 1 - 1/5 = 4/5 of all the coins

136 / 4/5 = 170

Thus, the coins in box A is

        170 * 1/5 = 34
