There are two trains on a 2700km train track at any time. The train coming from point A is moving towards point B at 100km a hour, and the train coming from point B to point is moving at 80km an hour. Where will these trains meet?

Please help!

Let A be travelling in the positive direction.

A's velocity is 100 km/hr

B's velocity is -80 km/hr

Their relative velocity is (100-(-80)) = 180 km/hr

They have 2700 km to cover at this speed

T = D/R = 2700/180 hr = 15 hrs.

In 15 hrs train A move 15 * 100 km = 1500 km

So the two trains will meet 1500 km from point A.
