May someone please help me with this last question? I am so greatly thankful for all help!

"A company sells products on the Internet through an email list. They predict that they sell one $70 product for every 35 people on their mailing list. (a) What is their projected revenue if their list contains 10,000 email addresses? (b) What is their projected revenue if their list contains 30,000 email addresses?"

Thank you!!! :)

(a) Set up a proportion:

$70/35 people = x/10,000 people

Now, cross multiply:

35x = 700,000

x = 700,000/35 = $20,000.

Note: It is easier to see that they gain revenue that is 2 times more than the number of people so 10,000 people should give the company $20,000.

(b) If 10,000 people --> $20,000

30,000 people --> 3*($20,000) = $60,000.
