Count how many three digit numbers you can form, then add all of them up, and divide by how the number of numbers.

Um...I don't see any three digit numbers in the set {2, 0, 1, 9}. I only see single-digit numbers.

mean is the same thing as average. Add up all terms, and divide by the number of terms.

if there 3 terms of x, y, and z, the mean or average is \(\dfrac{x+y+z}{3}\).
