If three people are selected at random from a group of seven men and three women, what is the probability that at least one woman is selected? Express your answer as a common fraction.
The probability that at least one woman is selected = 1 - P(no woman is selected)
So, we can form C(10,3) possible committees = 120 possible committees
And the number of ones that just include men = C(7,3) = 35
So....the probability that no woman is selected = 35/120 = 7/24
And this means that the probability that at least one woman is selected = [1 - 7/24 ] = [24/24 - 7/24] = 17/24
