If \(y = x^2 - 7\) and \(x\) is a real number, then what is the minimum value possible for \(y\)?

y = x^2  - 7

This is  the parabola y = x^2 shifted down by 7 units

Thus.....the minimum value for y  = -7

Here's a graph, Logic  : https://www.desmos.com/calculator/torephbrbq
