2)

What is the length of each side of a square that has the same area as a rectangle that is 14 mm long and 16 mm wide? Round to the nearest whole number.

A.224 mm

B.60 mm

C.30 mm

D.15 mm

I did 2 myself and got 15 (D) but want to verify with someone who knows that theyre doing that I did it correctly

3)

Jaycee is changing the shape of his garden from 50 feet long by 32 feet wide to a square that has the same area. What is the perimeter of the square garden?

A.1600 ft

B.160 ft

C.82 ft

D.40 ft

Also did this one myself and got 40 (D)

2.

area of rectangle = length * width

area of rectangle = 14mm * 16mm

area of rectangle = 244mm^2

√244mm = 15mm

D = 15mm

1) A=l*w

    A=25*15

    A=375

   √375=19.4

    19.4*4=77.4ft

   C). 77.4ft

3).

A=l*w

A=50*32

A=1600

√1600=40

p=40*4

p=160ft

B.160ft

1. The area of her garden is  25 * 15    = 375 ft^2

So......we can find the side of a square with the same area, thusly :

375  = side^2      take the square root of both sides

√375  =  side

So....the perimeter of the square is 4 times this  =  4√375 = 77.4 ft

2.   Area of rectangle 14 * 16  =  224

Side of square  = √224.....  15 mm   GOOD JOB  !!!!

3.   The perimeter is given by    4√ [50 *32]  = 4 √1600  = 4*40  =  160 ft

You may have forgoten to multiply the side of the square by 4 to get the perimeter  ???
