Can you please help me answer this problem?
We have three areas to consider
A 3 x 2 rectangle at the bottom left = 6 units ^2
A 1 x 1 square in teh middles = 1 unit^2
A 2 x 3 rectangle on the right= 6 units^2
So
6 + 1 + 6 = 13 units^2
