I tried different ways of doing the equation but I still didn't get a correct answer ​

Im not sure if there is an equation.....

 

Anyways, we can first find the area of the square. That is 0.5^2, which is 0.25. The area of the triangles are 0.5(0.4)(2), which is 0.4. Add those together, and you get 0.65.

The area of each triangle is 1/2 • base • height 

 

                                             (1/2)(0.5)(0.4) =  0.

 

There are four triangles so their total area is 0.4  

 

Add this to the area of the square and the total area is 0.65  

.
