Consider two functions: g(x)=2x and the quadratic function f(x) that opens up at the origin and passes through the point (1,2)

which statements are true?

slecect each correct answer

g(x) has a greater y intercept than f(x) does.

f(x) is less than g(x) on the interval (0,1)

f(1) is equal to g(1)

the average rate of change of f(x) is greater than g(x) on the interval [0,1]

Both have the same y intercept  at y = 0

f(x) <  g(x)  on (0, 1)  is true

g(1) = 2      and  f(1)  = 2 ....so  f(1)  = g(1)

The rate of change on [0, 1 ]  is the same....both functions pass through (0, 0) and (1, 2)
