Using the Pythagorean Theorem to find the length of the grass side:  c2  =  132 + 212     --->     c  =  24.698  (approx)

 

For the angle wanted, the adjacent side is the side with the wooden fence and the hypotenuse is the grass side.

Since  cos  =  adj / hyp     --->     cos(Angle)  =  wood / grass  =  21 / 24.698  =  0.8503

                                        --->             Angle   =  cos-1 ( 0.8503 )  =  31.76o  (approx)
