Hi, i understand this part:

x^2 - 2x +1 = -x +1
 x^2 -  2x + x + 1 - 1= 0
x^2 -x = 0

The answer says:
x= 0 or x -1 = 0
x= 0 or x=1

Can someone explain why x are these numbers and what the process behind getting these numbers is?

X^2 - x =0  is

x(x-1) = 0    The only ways this can equal 0 is if 'x' = 0     or   x-1 = 0   (when x=1)

so x = 0 or 1

Well..

I don't know if im right or not... :D

But, some of the "x"s cancel out, or are brought together, so instead of a bunch of "x"s it's a smaller amount of them.

Hopefully I was able to help you out!! :)

Please let me know if you still don't understand :)

I don't know if this is the box where i reply, but ill try.
I am still don't quite understand how the "x"'s end up with those answers.
If you don't mind, do try to explain a bit more detailed.

Thank you :)

Well.. When I did it i got..

X=1

AND

x=0

Because you're wanting to distribute them. Man, this is confusing!
