Mark, Nathan and Owen shared some stickers. 12.5% of Mark's stickers were equal
to 25% of Nathan's stickers. The number of stickers Owen had was 1/4 the number of
stickers Mark had.
a) What is the ratio of the number of stickers Mark had to the number of stickers
Nathan had to the number of stickers Owen had?
b) After Nathan gave 58 stickers to Mark, Owen had 1/5 of Mark's stickers. How many
stickers did the boys have in all?
this is not homework but can be so tricky
M => 4x N => 2x O => x
M : N : O = 4 : 2 : 1
x / 4x + 58 = 1/5
x = 58
Boys had 406 stickers.
