How do you add numbers with exponents?
You add exponents when the base is the same.Example: 2^10 x 2^7=2^(10+7)=2^17. This only applies to multiplication. For division you subtract the exponents. Example:2^10 / 2^7=2^(10-7)=2^3.
This does NOT apply to additions and subtractions.
