What are the equations of the asymptotes of the graph of  f(x)=5/x+7       −8 ?

Select each correct answer.

x = 7

x=−7

y=−8

y = 8

Thank you!!! p.s the -8 on the side is next to the fraction, which is on the left.

f(x) =  5 / (x + 7)  - 8

Note that x = -7   makes a denominator = 0

So....this is the vertical asymptote

The rational  expression  has a lower degree polynomial / higher degree polynomial

This means that we have a horizontal asymptote at y = 0

But the "-8 " shifts this down 8 units

So....the horzontal asymptote  is  y = -8
