the girls' team lifted 140% more than the boys' team. The boys team lifted 1400 pounds. How much did the girls team lift?
I know the answer was posted previously as 3360 pounds and the Saxon Algebra answer key says the same thing.
Can someone tell me why it's 3360 pounds and not 1930? 1930 is 140% of 1400 pounds. So I do not understand why they are using 240%
