Find the number of different lines determined by 11 points, no three of which lie on the same line.

I believe that the answer is   11C2  = n ( n -1) / 2   =  (11)(10)  / 2   =  55

 

Each point will have 10 lines connecting it to every other point, but we must divide by 2 to  prevent "double couning" since, for example, a line through point A and point E is the same as a line  through point E and point A
