$1800 id divided among Hashim, Nurul and Zalina in the ratio of 4 : n : 5 then, each of them an incentive of $120 from their teacher. Given the total amount of nurul's moneyis $840. Determine whether the ratio remains the same of different. If different, state the new ratio.

.
Here's another approach....
Nurul must have started with 840 - 120 = 720 = 2/5 of the money
And the other two share the remaining 3/5 in a ratio of 4 : 5
So Hashim gets (4/9)(3/5) = 12/45 = 4/15 = 480
And Zalina gets (5/9) (3/5) = 15/45 = 5/15 = 600
So....Nurul gets 1 - 9/15 = 6/15
And the beginning ratio = 4 : 6 : 5
After each recieve 120, they have a total of 2160
And Nurul has 840/2160 = 7/18 of the total
And Hashim has 600/2160 = 5/18 of the total
And Zalina has 1 - 12/18 = 6/18 of the total
So the ending ratio is :
5 : 7 : 6
