A pine tree measured 40.5 feet tall. Over the next 7.5 years, it grew to a height of 57 feet. during the 7.5 years, what was the average yearly growth rate of the height of the tree?
I learnt this but I forgot how to do it...
It grew 16.5 feet during those 7.5 years (57.0 - 40.5 = 16.5).
To find the average yearly growth rate, divide this amount by the number of years:
16.5 / 7.5 = 2.2 feet per year.
I think i know this but i had forgotten it. Sorry
