First one  - 3%  = .03   .....so    the value each year  is   100%  - 3%  = 97%  of what is was the year before  = .97

So...after 9 years, we have

14000(.97)^9   ≈  \$ 10,643   = \$10,650

Second  one  - exponential form  is   y   = ab^x

Not A.....this looks to be the quadratic  y  = x^2     this is not exponential

Not B .....this looks to be something like the absoluite value graph  y  = -  l  x + 4  l  + 1

C is correct.....we have a common geometric ratio of   1/4  between the successive term to the previous term..... the function is

y  = 1024(1/4)^x     where  x is an integer ≥ 2

Third  one.....

A   -  yes  ...we add the exponents on x and y in the first term and get 6

B - yes   - -x^6     is a sixth power term

C - no.....no exponents sum to 6

D - no.....same reason as C

Fourth one  -   g(x) shfits the graph of  f(x)  = 3√x    1  unit to the right and 3 units up  ⇒  "B"
