In a glass containing 142g of martini, there is 30% of mass of ethyl alcohol. When a person drinks that cup, 15% of the martini's alcohol goes directly into the bloodstream. Calculate the mass of alcohol that would be entering the bloodstream.

Total alcohol in the martini by mass

142 g x .30 = 43 g

15% of this goes into the bloodstream

 

42 g x 15% = 43g x .15= 6 gm    (if they drink the whole martini)
