1. Complete the square: \(x^2+2x+9\).

Enter your answer in the form \(a(x+u)^2+v\), where \(a,u,\) and \(v\) are replaced by numbers.

2.  Complete the square:  \(4x^2+5x+2\).

Enter your answer in the form \(a(x+u)^2+v\), where \(a,u,\) and \(v\) are replaced by numbers.

Thank you so much for your help!

1. Use the formula (b/2)^2 in order to create a new term to complete the square. We get: (x+1)^2 +8. Hope this helps, whymenotsmartt^m^
