x = first integer

x-1 = other integer

x (x-1) = 2550

x^2 -x -2550 = 0   quadratic formula   shows x = -51  or 50

   x = -50     x-1 = -51

Another way     sqrt 2550 = ±50.49      so the two numbers are very close to this  - 50.49 ~~  -50    then the other is -51

The prime factorization of the numbers is 2 x 3 x 5 x 5 x 17. then I tried to get two consecutive numbers and got: 2 x 5 x 5 and 3 x 17 which get 50 and 51. Then you want negative numbers so the answer is -50 and -51. Also, remember that 2 negative numbers multiplied by each other gets a positive number.

x(x+1)=2550

x^2+x-2550=0

x=-51

x+1=-50

sum=-101
