The slope  of the given line  = -9

 

The slope of a perpendicular line  =1/9

 

So we have

 

y = (1/9) ( x - 10) + 2      multiply through by 9

 

9y  = x - 10 + 18

 

9y  = 1x + 8

 

1x - 9y = - 8   or    1x - 9y + 8  = 0

4) -5 means that the line 3x is shifted down 5. This includes the two points. -5+2 = -3/

y =  3x - 5 + 2    =   3x - 3
