Paula is 10 less than thrice Kaye's age.Two years from now Paula's age is twice Kaye's present age.How old is Kaye now?

If P and K represent the current ages of Paula and Kaye, respectively, then:

 

P = 3K - 10

and

P + 2 = 2K

 

Can you take it from here?

i got that, thanks btw, but my problem is i cant find the formula for 'k'

Replace P in the second equation by 3K - 10 (from the first equation) then rearrange to get K.
