In triangle ABC, AB = 15, BC = 20, and AC = 20. Find the length of the shortest altitude in this triangle.

You have 3 sides of an isosceles triangle.

 

Find the area by using "Heron's Formula"

 

Once you get the area, then:

 

[2 x area] / 15 = 1st height

[2 x area] / 20=2nd height

[2 x area] / 20=3rd height.
