What is the equation of a parabola whose vertex is at the point (-2, 1), is the same size as the graph y = 2(x - 3)^2, and opens up?

2(x - 3)^2, since this parabola already opens up, we just need to shift it up/down and left/right until the vertex is at -2, 1.

Conveniently, it is already in vertex form, with the vertex at (3, 0).

We need to shift it left by 5, and up by 1.

2(x + 2)^2  + 1
